Post Road Partners is a communications and political consulting firm dedicated to empowering progressive candidates and campaigns through deep engagement with activists and allies that breaks the mold of the large “crank ‘em out” firms. Our work is predicated on listening, collaboration, understanding the actual conditions on the ground - and then creating sharp, bold, winning, timely, and inclusive messages and strategies that raise our causes and candidates above the pack.
- Our experience comes from decades of work as journalists, activists, and consultants - but our partnership is most closely informed by shifts in the political landscape since 2016 and the politics of resistance and a more active and involved citizenry.
- Post Road Partners was created by two journalists and veterans of political activism and organizing to support progressive candidates and causes and to help restore liberal democracy to a polarized society.
- Founders Shannon Powell and Tom Watson each bring a unique viewpoint and strong experience to our campaigns: deep knowledge of the new “blue” coalition and what wins in today’s hyper-partisan landscape.
